Objective

Create a tips infographic in Canva showing practical ways to conserve water at home, designed for families in Karachi and other Pakistani cities where water is often scarce.

Instructions

Tips to Include

Present each tip with a short heading, a one or two sentence explanation, and an icon:

1. Fix leaking taps immediately - A dripping tap can waste over 20 liters of water a day. Report leaks to your building management or fix them yourself.
2. Use a bucket, not a running tap, for washing vehicles - Running a hose wastes far more water than needed to wash a car or motorbike.
3. Take shorter showers - Reducing a shower from 10 minutes to 5 can save significant water daily.
4. Turn off the tap while brushing teeth - Running water during brushing wastes several liters each time.
5. Only run the washing machine with a full load - Half-empty loads use nearly the same amount of water as full ones.
6. Reuse washing water for plants - Rinse water from vegetables or light laundry can water plants instead of going down the drain.
7. Store water properly - Keep water tanks clean and covered to prevent contamination and evaporation.
8. Report water waste in your area - If a street pipe is leaking or a neighbor is wasting water, report it to KWSB (Karachi Water and Sewerage Board) or the building manager.

Include a short note: Karachi receives water from the Hub Dam, Keenjhar Lake, and the Indus River. The city’s water demand consistently exceeds its supply. Every liter saved matters.
