Objective

Create a timeline infographic in Canva showing every FIFA World Cup winner from 1930 to 2022.

Important Note on Accuracy

Look up the FIFA World Cup results online before adding any data. Verify the winning country, runner-up, host country, and final score for each tournament. Note that no tournament was held in 1942 or 1946 due to World War II.

Instructions

Step 1: Research

For each World Cup year - 1930, 1934, 1938, 1950, 1954, 1958, 1962, 1966, 1970, 1974, 1978, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 - find:

• Host country
• Winner
• Runner-up
• Score in the final

Step 2: Design the Timeline

For each tournament:

• Year and host country (with flag)
• Winner (with flag)
• Runner-up
• Final score

Add a label between 1938 and 1950 noting the gap: “No tournament held 1942 and 1946 - World War II.”

At the end of the timeline, include a count: which country has won the most titles, and how many?

Step 3: Build in Canva

• Horizontal or vertical timeline from 1930 to 2022.
• Use flag icons for host and winning nations.
• Use football icons: a ball, a trophy.
• Apply subtle color bands to group decades.

Required Elements

• All 22 tournaments included.
• Winner, runner-up, host country, and final score for each.
• WWII gap clearly noted.
• Total title count per country at the end.
• Title: “FIFA World Cup Winners: 1930-2022.”
