Assignment - Infographics - 085

These instructions serve as general guidelines. Adapt them as needed to suit the specific requirements of the task or creative vision. Avoid following them rigidly without considering the context.

Objective

Create a concept map in Canva that explains Allama Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi - what it means, how it develops, and what it demands of a person.

Instructions

Central Concept

Place “خودی Khudi (The Self)” at the center.

Main Branches

Connect the following ideas to the center:

  • Meaning of Khudi: Individual identity, inner strength, self-awareness
  • Stages of Khudi: اطاعت Ita’at (obedience), ضبطﹺ نفس Zabt-e-Nafs (self-discipline), نیابتﹺ الٰہی Niyabat-e-Ilahi (vicegerency of God)
  • Khudi and Faith: Submission to God as the path to strengthening - not weakening - the self
  • Khudi and Action: Hard work, courage, refusing to accept helplessness or passivity
  • Khudi and the Community: Individual strength as the basis of a strong Muslim Ummah
  • Relevant Poetry: A line or two from اسرارﹺ خودی Asrar-e-Khudi or Bang-e-Dra that expresses this idea

Design in Canva

  • Central node for Khudi, surrounded by the six branches.
  • Use green and gold as the main color palette.
  • Add Urdu or Persian terms in transliteration next to key concepts.
  • Use labeled arrows to show how one idea leads to another (e.g., Ita’at leads to Zabt-e-Nafs).

Required Elements

  • At least 5 branches connected to the central concept.
  • At least 2 sub-nodes per branch.
  • At least one line of Iqbal’s poetry included in the map.
  • Title: “Allama Iqbal’s Philosophy of Khudi.”
