Objective

Create a concept map in Canva that organizes the main teaching methods and shows how they relate to each other.

Instructions

Central Concept

Place “Teaching Methods” at the center of your map.

Main Branches

Connect at least five teaching methods to the central concept:

• Lecture Method
• Discussion Method
• Demonstration Method
• Cooperative Learning
• Inquiry-Based Learning
• Project-Based Learning

For Each Method, Add Nodes For:

• A short definition (one phrase)
• When it works best
• One advantage
• One limitation

Design in Canva

• Use Canva’s shapes (circles, rectangles) and connector lines to build the map.
• The central node should be larger than the surrounding nodes.
• Use one color per method to group its related nodes.
• Add labeled arrows between related methods where they overlap or connect.
• Keep text inside each node to one to five words.

Required Elements

• At least 5 teaching methods connected to the center.
• At least 3 nodes per method (definition, best use, and one advantage or limitation).
• Color-coded branches by method.
• Title: “Teaching Methods.”
