Environmental work does not have to sit with children and teachers alone. Community members with real expertise, a farmer or an agricultural officer for a garden, can support students, especially at the start. The useful pattern is to help students get going with tips and good practice, then step back and stay reachable if problems come up later.

The cluster approach links schools that sit close together. Instead of each school doing everything alone, three or four or five nearby schools work as a group. One might specialize in growing tomatoes, another in potatoes, another in garlic, and then they share the produce.
Students learn two lessons from this. First, no one can do everything alone; you need others. Second, sharing matters, because letting a surplus go to waste while others go short makes little sense.
