Teaching often happens behind a closed door. One teacher, one room, one set of students, and little sense of what the teacher next door is trying. Technology reform pushes against that habit, because a whole staff learning new tools at once has a strong reason to compare notes.
Breaking the Isolation of the Classroom
Most teachers are used to working on their own and are not always eager to collaborate. When every teacher is expected to use technology and change their methods, that expectation becomes a reason to gather: what did you try, what worked, what failed. If something then goes wrong in my room, I am not stuck, because a colleague may have hit the same problem and found a way around it. This does not mean every teacher pairs with every other. Even the handful teaching one grade meeting to talk it through helps the students.
New tools also give teachers a reason to step back and ask what they are really trying to teach and how technology could serve that goal. That opens the door to projects that cross subjects, so a single project might draw on language, math, history, and science together, instead of teaching each in isolation.

The school has to set aside dedicated time for it. A good administrator matters here. If teachers are shy about sharing, the administrator has to offer prompts and make it safe to admit that something did not work.

Teams Plan More Ambitious Work
The most ambitious and successful technology projects tend to be planned and run by teams of teachers, not by one teacher alone. Teamwork brings several sources of ideas, expertise, and energy to a hard job. Studies referenced in the source suggest that teachers working together plan more far-reaching activities than teachers working by themselves.
Part of the reason is confidence. On your own, you tend to limit how far you push a project. In a team you will try something beyond the usual range, because there is support if it works and shared responsibility if it does not. A team that hits a wall can sit down together, work out what went wrong, and repeat the activity with changes.

Looking Outside the School
Schools are not set up to run research on their own. A better route is to invite an outside partner, such as a college, a university, or an organization that studies education, to come in and look at what technology is doing in the school. If the findings are strong, share them so others can see the good work. If they are weak, learn from them, improve, and ask the group back in six months or a year. Repeating the study across years builds a longer picture of whether technology-supported teaching is actually helping.
