Privatization in a National Case

Private schools appear wherever a public system cannot reach every child, and once they take hold they raise hard questions about scale, cost, and fairness. This chapter follows two of them. First, how private schooling emerges, spreads from cities to villages, and gets measured. Then, how it is financed: what we can learn from the money, and how little we can say when the data runs out.
