There is a difference between technology driving a lesson and technology enabling one. Enabling means the tool is a helper: it supports the teacher in teaching and the student in learning, so both gain. Seen that way, its real strengths come down to three things it can unlock, plus one method that puts them to work.
Enabling, Not Just Driving
When technology enables learning, it is not there to replace the teacher or run the room by itself. It is a facility that makes good teaching easier and good learning more reachable. The test of a tool is simple: does it help the student learn something they would have struggled to learn without it, and does it help the teacher reach learners they were missing? If yes, it is doing its job.

Equal access is easy to underrate. In many rooms the students near the front gain the most while those at the back drift. When the same software runs on every device, twenty or fifty learners get the same chance at the same material, wherever they sit.

Every classroom, with or without devices, runs on three kinds of interaction. Good technology strengthens all three.

The third one needs care. Students sitting alone at separate machines are still one brain each. The gain comes when they collaborate, sharing one device in a team or working together across their own, so the group lifts each learner’s result.

The first is guidance, the second is grasp of the material, and the third is collaboration. A tool that supports all three does more than one that only delivers content.
Interaction rises fastest when the material itself is enjoyable, which is where games come in.
Turning Lessons Into Games
Almost everyone plays games, so gamification borrows that pull for learning. A teacher takes a topic, a skill, or a concept and rebuilds it as a game: students earn points, clear one step, and move to the next. Along the way come sound, colour, music, and movement, the same features that make games hard to put down and that help many students remember what they learn. Content creation counts too. Asking students to make a short video or build their own challenge turns that same energy toward the lesson.
